'CAMRA Wigan Branch - Pub of the Year 2010

- taken from website May 2010

CAMRA Wigan Branch has annouced that their Pub of the Year is the Mason's Arms, Billinge.

The Masons is a traditional country Inn built in 1779 by local stonemasons and is situated in the picturesque village of Billinge and is easily accessible
from the M6, East Lancashire Road (A580) and neighbouring towns. Doors open at 2 pm weekdays and 12 noon on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday periods.'

Ken Worthington Wigan Branch Chairman said:

"A well deserved award. The Masons' owners: Gill, Sue, Ian and John have put in a lot of hard work. There is always a good range of beers and you can always find at least one locally brewed beer available.
A must visit if you are in the area."
