The Masons Arms Community Garden

The Masons Arms Community Garden is established on the land behind the beer garden. Used for many years for various community events including bonfire nights, and the Queen's Jubilee, the area has been regularly used for the pub's special events.
Following extensive ground work and re-fencing, we are now facing the challenge of landscaping. We are working on increasing and improving a natural small pond that is already attracting various forms of wildlife. Bird activity has become quite lively with swifts, house martins and mallards becoming regular visitors.
The garden is to be a place of peace and tranquillity, where one can sit and reflect or just watch the birds and other wildlife.
While children are welcome the garden is not a children's play area.  There is a lovely park just 300 yards away.  This is a garden for the community not just pub patrons.  The project will benefit walkers, cyclists and other visitors to the area.
We are now seeking benefactors and sponsors to help bring the project to fruition. Groundwork and fencing have already cost us well over a £1000.  In return for your contribution we will put a permanent link to your company's or business's website if you have one and if not we will promote it within ours highlighting in glowing terms what you have done for us.
Any donation is welcome including plants, turf, garden furniture and ornaments.  In fact just about anything that can be utilised in a garden project!
